Masters of Speed


If you are wondering how legibility is affected by speed, take a look at the two samples below, one from Charles Lee Swem (240 wpm) and another from Martin Dupraw (280 wpm).  The amazing thing is that they were able to transcribe the takes: Swem misread four outlines while Dupraw misread three.  The total number of words was 3600, and the total number of errors was 29 for Swem and 34 for Dupraw.  This is pretty impressive.
