Written shorthand is supposedly dead in this day of laptop computers and micro tape recorders, but it seems to me that there are lots of people who still use it. I use mine for taking notes at meetings when I'm not doing formal minutes (which I use a laptop for), or when I can't use my laptop, as well as for making notes quickly when I'm talking to people. I have also read on this site about a woman's using her shorthand for a diary, for privacy's sake.
What do other people use their shorthand for these days?
