-ings...?

Hi again, everybody:
I am most of the way through learning Simplified.  I have come across an ambiguity.  Maybe I have just not come to the subject in the book yet.
How would you write a word ending with "-ings".  If you connected the "s" to the outline before adding the dot, it would appear like "-sing".  Would you add a disjointed "s", or put the dot above the "s", or write it as the "ng" downward slant with an "s" at the end?
Thanks for all replies.
Don
