This is a legal thriller written by Arthur Train that appeared in his book "Page Mr. Tutt", whose main character, Ephraim Tutt, predates Perry Mason as the quintessential successful and righteous lawyer. It was serialized in the September 1930 to February 1940 issues of The Gregg Writer, and written in Anniversary.
