Here's an interesting little pamphlet from 1926 entitled Gregg Shorthand as an Equivalent of Two Years' Course in a Foreign Language.
It was written by Elizabeth Starbuck Adams, who is particularly noted as the author of Introduction to Transcription from the Anniversary period.
